Fireflies (or glow worms or lightning bugs) are safe to touch. No, you won’t get electrocuted when you touch them. The light these critters produce is harmful only to their prey (lightning bugs use it to attract them). You don’t need special equipment to catch lightning bugs. All you need is fast reflexes!
