In ancient times, marshmallow was made from Althaea officinalis, the marshmallow plant, and was used as medicine. We’re not entirely sure if ancient marshmallows tasted as bad as the medicine we drink today. Still, we’re pretty sure a lot of kids love the taste o modern marshmallows.
