A different kind of online club for kids

Freaky Rivet is a club for children to do activities in the real world, and get the buzz of an online community.

How does it work?

How Freaky Rivet Works

What do mothers say about Freaky Rivet?

As a blogger and a technophile, I appreciate the place of technology in my kids' lives. But I don't want the TV and the iPad to replace getting up, getting out and playing. That's why Freaky Rivet has a place in our home. The activities magically lure them away from all the screens.
EvanthiaMother, founder and blogger at merelymothers
I really love the idea behind this site - a brilliantly put together website that aims to get your kids off the screens and out in the open. I promise you it is definitely worth a look, so do pop over there.
KateMother, blogger at KateTakes5, founder at parent.ie
An inspiring site to get your children up and at 'em - and their sticky hands off your techie gadgets. It's not that they don't embrace technology, it's just that they want to level the playing fields and remind kiddos (and their overworked parents) that the Out Of Doors is a fairly nice place to be.
KeelyPlayright, mother and blogger at lollygagblog

You're here because your child said they'd like to join. We'd love them to.

We're building a club to

We're OK with many online games for kids. We just think there should also be an alternative.

An online club where they get their kicks from points, levels, kudos and bragging rights for doing activities in the real world.

That's what Freaky Rivet is about.
We believe every child has something they can teach another child.

We believe every child has something they can learn from another child.

We want to enable a child in Beijing to share something with a child in Barcelona. A child in London to share something with a child in Lagos. A child in Jakarta to share something with a child in Johannesburg.

What better way for kids to learn new skills while gaining in self-confidence?
We have fabulously fun family day out itineraries packed with fun things to do in a variety of places.

We have committed to donate all profit from each itinerary sold to a grassroots children's charity in the location of the itinerary. We choose charities aligned with our mission - they must work with disadvantaged children to get them moving, creating and exploring.
For children joining in participating schools, we'll donate the full first year membership fees to the school's development funds. So the kids get to participate in a global community of active kids, and the school gets a donation to projects aimed at furthering children's development in the real world.
